🛬 What airport do you fly into for Guanajuato?

The main airport serving Guanajuato, Mexico, is Del Bajío International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional de Guanajuato), officially known as Aeropuerto Internacional del Bajío “Guanajuato” (BJX).
This airport is not located directly in Guanajuato city; instead, it’s situated in the city of Silao, which is approximately 30 kilometers (around 18 miles) away from Guanajuato.
Del Bajío International Airport also serves the nearby city of León and other cities in the Bajío region like San Miguel de Allende.
✅ Is Leon the same as Guanajuato Airport?

Yes, Del Bajío International Airport (BJX) is sometimes also referred to as León Airport because it’s located closer to León than Guanajuato.
León is one of the major cities in the state of Guanajuato. Despite its proximity to León, the airport is named after the state itself, serving as the main gateway for various cities within the state, including the city of Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende.
