Oaxaca Mezcal Tasting: what you’ll do

- Meet the local sommelier and get a background of the different mezcales in Oaxaca
- Learn about the 7 different moles of Oaxaca (vegetarian, small serving)
- How to properly drink mezcal
- Meet other travelers who are mezcal enthusiasts
Oaxaca Mezcal Tasting availability and hours
This Oaxaca Mezcal Tasting runs once a day, except Tuesdays, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM.
This is a small group tour where you will join other travelers (7-0 per group). Customized and private tours are free to choose any time and date they prefer (up to 15 people).

I’m a solo traveler from New York City with a pretty adventurous palate, but I must admit, I was a bit hesitant about the whole Mezcal and mole pairing tour. Not being a fan of mole, I wondered if this would be the right experience for me. She took us on an immersive journey through its history, distillation process, and the stories that make each bottle unique. By the end of the tasting, I felt like I had earned an unofficial mini-degree in Mezcal!
Everything from the intimate setting, quality of Mezcals, and the food was top-notch. The experience was seamless, unhurried, and felt personalized, even within a group setting.
