What set this tour apart was Juan’s ability to introduce us to the locals at the market. We met artisans, greengrocers, butchers, and many other vendors, and it was amazing to see the pride they take in their crafts and produce. Juan not only helped us understand what we were seeing and tasting but also provided a sense of connection with the people of the market, which made the experience deeply personal and enriching.
The tour is perfectly structured, covering a range of food stalls and craft shops. We had the chance to taste tejate, an ancient cocoa drink, along with mouth-watering tamales, tacos, and memelas. Truly a feast for the senses!
