What you’ll do
- The guide will pick you up at your hotel in Oaxaca City at 9 AM
- Drive to the palenque from Oaxaca City (45 mins)
- Arrive at the palenque and meet the master mezcalero
- Visit the greenhouse where you will see the local families agave species
- Witness the mezcal-making process
- Try different mezcals (about 20 types)
- Eat lunch served by the local family
- Head back to Oaxaca by 3 PM

We had a great trip with Victor.
Just to highlight things we loved about him
A) he is extremely knowledgeable about the industry and passionate about what his role
B) I do not know who chooses the family to
Tour ( you or victor ) but it was really nice to be able to see this particular family and they had really good stories to share
C) He was very fluent in English and this is not something which we experienced with other guides in other parts of Mexico , which made the entire experience really wonderful and easy to understand
D) we had 2 kids and he was really helpful in managing the kids and looking out for things to do for the kids
