Mexico Insider is hiring a talented Resort Writer/Reviewer/Creator in the Merida and Yucatan area. You’ll work alongside our resort and hotel editors to find the best angle for your article but you should be following a format.

You will work with our Managing Editor, News team, and Audience team to develop content strategies around day-to-day news and evergreen stories and tentpole items like events and seasonal trends to grow in search.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Stay in different resorts in Merida to review the property, and take photos and videos.
  • You need to write the review on Mexico Insider
  • You don’t need to edit the videos and photos but we would request them in raw. You will only send it to our editing headquarters so we can maintain branding in the edit.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Based in Merida, Mexico, or at least have 3 months of experience living in Merida
  • Native English speaker and writer
  • A journalistic approach to writing
  • Photography and Videography

  • Produce photos and video clips for each article (in your POV)
  • You don’t need to edit the videos and photos but we would request them in raw. You will only send it to our editing headquarters so we can maintain branding in the edit.
